Whimsical Meaning

The word "whimsical" (or whimsy) means amusing, fun, fanciful or even playfulness. To me it just means JOY! I try to make each day joyful by filling my days with goodness.

Five Minute Weekly Journal

 Five Minute Weekly Journal

I sold a lot of these at the craft fair this past week. In fact, they all sold out and I wish I had made more ;)

I designed the pages and there's lots of cool journaling prompts and places to write goals for the upcoming week and also places to look back at the week prior and what you might've learned.

I think anything that helps us draw closer to the Savior is a win! If you want to make your own, I have the templates and complete instructions in my Etsy shop! Click HERE to check it out!

I just finished and listed this "12 Days Before Christmas" flip chart/book .PDF file in my Etsy Shop! It turned out so cute!

Each day, for twelve days, take a moment to ponder key people, animals and items leading up to the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Each page has darling images, a scripture reference and a poem.
Right now it's just a .PDF file for you to print and assemble yourselves. However, I am making a bunch up for a craft show in November, and I may list some of the flip books in my Etsy shop then.

6" X 6" Chipboard Notebooks/Journals Decorated

Hi Friends! Here's what I've been working on the past few days. I made more chipboard books but decorated them in lovely papers - Floral and Ivy and Birds, Pink Roses and Vintage, Old-Fashioned Papers. I love how they turned out!

Both sides of the front and back covers are decorated and in the middle, there is a cardstock pocket page as shown. The notebooks are filled with recycled paper. They're great as is or ready for more embellishing depending what your style is. You can add more paper, paper tags, ribbons, die cuts and so much more!
You can find them in my ETSY SHOP and I hope you'll go take a peek ;)

Dr. Seuss "Cat In the Hat" book turned notebook/journal

Here is a darling and very unique notebook or journal made from a "The Cat In The Hat" book. It is spiral bound with cinch rings. The entire story is inside intermingled with lined pages. At the end there are 10 pages of cardstock.

On the front there is a puzzle piece with red scrapbook paper on it and the  Dr. Seuss phrase "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?"

On the inside front cover, there is a pocket and tucked inside that is a bookmark with red tassel. There is also a regular envelope in front with the flap decorated with the cat. This is a super fun item!

I actually have two listed in m ETSY SHOP - one has some irregular pages (details in the listing) in the middle of the notebook/journal. I hope you'll go take a peek!

Greeting Card Folio and/or Mini Album

Hey guys! Isn't this pretty?! I love how this turned out. It is a card folio that fits nicely in an A2 envelope. The card measures 4" x 5 1/4" and has matching paper on the envelope flap. The front of the folio card is a pocket w/velcro closure. Inside the pocket, there's a cardstock and paper tag with ribbon.

Inside the card, there are double pockets. Tucked inside is another tag and larger bookmark or tag with pink tassel attached. On the right, there are 5 pages in the "waterfall" and underneath is another tuck pocket.

Lots of places to journal on, add photos or write/make sentiments and give as a greeting card. Most anyone would love to receive this. Especially in the mail!! I used Soft Succulent cardstock from Stampin' Up! and some beautiful floral and ivy paper I've had in my stash.

I listed this in my ETSY SHOP along with two sizes of chipboard books and jute cord too! I hope you'll visit my shop to see my crafty items, craft supplies, tutorials and digital downloads I have listed there!!

First notebook using my Cinch Machine

Hello friends! I just wanted to show you what I made today using awesome Stampin' Up! products and my fun, new Cinch machine. It's my first time using it and I can see this is going to be fun. I'm already thinking of all the fun stuff I can make using it ;)

I will list the Stampin' Up! products I used at the end of this post so be sure to check those out. What I did first, was take two 6" x 6" pieces of chipboard and cover front and back with DSP. I glued them and made sure I had the corners glued down well. I had some writing paper (that I've had forever) so I cut it into 5.5" x 5.5" pieces for the inside.

I then, made pockets for the inside front and back covers. I made tags to tuck inside and even decorated the flap of an extra envelope I had and added that to the back of my book.

Next, I finished embellishing by adding more layers of papers and stamping/coloring my darling gnome. I just love her!

Now it was time to try out my Cinch machine. Super easy and super fun! Isn't this book cute?!

Punched all the holes in the chipboard covers, the envelope and all the papers. Assembled and cinched the wires closed.
